If you’re craving comfort in a bowl, the French Onion Soup warms with its rich broth and caramelized onions, while the Grown-Up Mac and Cheese entices with sophisticated depth beyond the typical cheesy dish.
Pier 500’s bar menu is equally compelling, inviting guests to start with delectable small plates like the Smoked Gouda Nachos or the Jerk Chicken Fondue, blending smoky cheese sauce with the zing of grilled jerk chicken and fresh granny smith apples. Their inventive cocktails, such as the aptly named Kinky Martini, round out the experience with crafted concoctions that delight.
The restaurant also thoughtfully caters to families, boasting a kid’s menu packed with all-time favorites—from Meatloaf and Fries and Chicken Tenders to simple Macaroni and Cheese—all affordably priced and sure to satisfy younger palates.

Very popular place. We went early assuming there would be a waiting list, and there was. However, we walked the shops that were open and didn't wait as long as they said for a table. The view of the water is beautiful and we had great food and service. Loved the cauliflower appetizer. We all had the salads and they were delicious. Highly recommend.
We had lunch on the patio, it was so pretty to see the river and the food was delicious!! We both had the rotisserie chicken plate which was smoked to perfection. Our server was attentive and so nice!
The place was great, the service was nice, and the location was perfect. The food was outstanding. I got a Smashburger, and it was delicious. I loved the fried coconut shrimp. I also tried the onion soup, which at first I didn't think was going to be that good. It turned out to be delicious. I wish the croutons were crunchy. The walleye fish was very good, pan-seared, and the sauce was outstanding. I'm definitely coming back to try more things. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
Went to Pier 500 on 12/12/25 for the first time with a couple of friends to celebrate my friends (& my) birthday. We were supposed to be in one of their igloos but it was too cold, so we were inside instead but that was OK. The inside is very nice. Kinda rustic meets industrial elegance if that makes sense. We had EXCELLENT service and the food was SO good. We had the apple & goat cheese flatbread which was very good. My friend had the Walleye dinner, I had the Pork Chop dinner & our other friend had the Grilled Meatloaf dinner. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals immensely. Zero complaints. My Porkk Chop was so big I had a whole nother meal as left overs. If you want a fantastic, high end restaurant to go to, I would recommend Pier 500. They are also across the street from a park & all of the trees were wrapped with beautiful colored christmas lights. We took pictures from the car because it was so cold, but if you get the chance this holiday season, check out the lights across the street as well and walk through the park. I don't think you will be disappointed.
I really enjoyed my visits to Pier 500. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the service was attentive and friendly. One of the highlights is the beautiful view of the St. Croix River – it makes the whole dining experience extra special. The patio is a wonderful place to sit and relax, especially in nice weather. Just keep in mind that during rain or bad weather, the patio is closed. Overall, a great spot in Hudson – highly recommend!
This place was awesome! Great view, great service, and great food! Our server, Jenna, recommended a fish called Walleye and it was one of the best fish we’ve ever had!
We were taken to this restaurant for dinner by our friends. We are here on vacation from California. I had the jalapeño mule and the tuna poke bowl, and the rest of our party had the fish and chips. My husband ordered a bourbon neat. The waitress told him about a special bottle they had, so he went off her recommendation. The bottle was actually a rye. They had a good conversation about it. My poke bowl was good, but could have used some dressing or additional dressing. The others enjoyed the fish, so good! The Cole slaw and tarter sauce was different. Tarter sauce is very dill-y. We ate out on the patio and had a lovely time.
